Invitation to 'Come Walk With Us' to Mile Zero Victoria B.C.

Come Walk With Us Point Zero TCT.

We are inviting everyone to joins us at Point Zero, Victoria British Columbia as we make history around noon on Thursday Nov. 24th, 2022!

We will become the first known couple to hike more than 13, 716 km together on the Trans Canada Trail.  We started on July 1st, 2019 on the Atlantic Ocean at Cape Spear, Newfoundland.  Over the course of more than 555 days we have ventured across 10 provinces to arrive at Victoria British Columbia.  We will get to Point Zero on November 24th, 2022!

Hike4Birds Trans Canada Trail St. John's Newfoundland.

We are the first trekkers on the national pathway to photograph and document the entire length of the Great Trail as well as to comprehensively blog the journey - creating a free resource and guide for those who wish to explore Canada. In the process we have taken over 750,000 photographs and shared over 780 blog entries.  There have been more than 125 articles published on the #Hike4Birds and we have given over 150 free presentations on birding, citizen science, the Trans Canada Trail and this great nation!  As a result of these efforts anyone can now read about, learn about, and see what Canada looks like from the Trans Canada Trail from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean!

As we reach the Pacific Coast we are also the first people to walk the trail for a cause - to engage youth with nature through birds and Citizen Science while promoting diversity in the outdoor recreation community.

Trans Canada Trail Western Terminus BC.

We plan to begin in front of the Legislative Assembly of BC buildings (501 Belleville St.) - near the fountain - around 11 am on Nov. 24th to walk the last 5 km of the Trans Canada Trail to Point Zero (Clover Point).

Rain or shine, all are welcome to 'Come Walk With Us! and join our #Hike4Birds !
