Where in the Canada is ‘Come Walk With Us’?

It has been some time since you last saw a post from us and I imagine you are all wondering ‘Where in the world are they’?

Rest assured that we did return to the Trans Canada Trail and are still going strong.   The simple fact is that for the first time since the Top Sails in Newfoundland in 2019, for the past 14 days we have been trekking in areas where there has been limited wifi – or at the very least were there has not been a strong enough signal to upload the blog.   That does not mean that we have not been out there hiking, birding, writing and photographing this amazing nation.

Regardless since we last met we have ventured from the wonderful town of Cochrane Alberta through the Rocky Mountains were we explored the beautiful Bragg Creek, visited Canmore and Banff and trekked the challenging High Rockies Trail and hiked deep into the heart of Beautiful British Columbia.  In addition our trek has been carried in newspapers across Alberta, crossed the 12,000km marker, been notified that ‘Come Walk With Us’ is due to receive a Certificate of Appreciation from the OFO or the Ontario Federation of Ornithologists, and been nominated by a follower for a Canadian Trails Federation Award.

So we are again a bit behind in our postings but rest assured that lots has happened from hail storms on the top of Cox Hill, to stunning vistas and freezing cold nights, meeting majestic elk on the trail, to accidents which have left one of us with two broken fingers, to entering the 10th and final province on the venture from the Atlantic to the Pacific.
