Congratulations from Bruce Trail Conservancy
Very grateful to have our #Hike4Birds recognized by the amazing Bruce Trail Conservancy - those amazing individuals responsible for Ontario's stunning Bruce Trail!
Both Sean Morton and myself have been members of the BTC for a long time, we served as Land stewards for the Dopko Property for year, and are end to end trekkers having completed the Bruce Trail from Niagara Falls to Tobermory.
In addition over the years we have won photography competitions at the BTC...
...and even designed the original Steeltown Stomp Hamilton Hike patch.
Members
of the Bruce Trail joined us in almost every region of Canada including Newfoundland, New Brunswick, PEI, Ontario, Saskatchewan and British Columbia while we ventured more than
14,000 km from the Atlantic to the Pacific on the Trans Canada Trail
over the past four years!
Our time on the Bruce Trail did much to refine and shape us before setting out onto Canada's Great Trail, just as their goal of "preserving a ribbon of wilderness for everyone" is central to our own message of ensuring that Nature is accessible to everyone.
In their letter the CEO of the BTC praised us for our "incredible achievement" of trekking more than 14,000 km across Canada and for our "deep commitment to raising awareness about the importance of connecting people with nature." Noting that we are ambassadors for hiking and an "example of how people can responsibly connect with natural landscapes and cherish the many species that thrive within them."
We are humbled by your encouragement and support!
See you on the trail!
