Sunshine Coast Congratulations for Come Walk With Us
A couple of days ago we received an amazing letter of
Congratulations for the Achievements of Come Walk With Us from the Mayor of the
District of Sechelt British Columbia Mr John Henderson!
As many know our family has lived in Sechelt for over twenty
years – the Sunshine Coast is a place we love and have been inspired by.
To receive recognition from the Mayor’s office is humbling
and bolsters our goals of continuing on along the Trans Canada Trail to the
Arctic. In particular the Mayor
highlighted our goal of inspiring environmentalism and citizen science
participation.
In particular the Mayor of Sechelt felt that our “walk
across Canada is a testament to your perseverance, determination, and
commitment to a better future for us all.”
We are both deeply honoured by the recognition for the
efforts put into our #Hike4Birds from a community we love so much and
continue to hope that our outreach, blog, and photographs continue to inspire
Canadians.
